One of our missions is to end discrimination and to secure civil rights.

PFLAG works at many levels to promote justice and equality.

• Internationally with organizations such as InterPride
• Nationally with groups like the HRC and Soulfore.
• At the State Level (Harrisburg, PA) we work with SPARC - Statewide Pennsylvania Rights Coalition
• Locally (Pittsburgh and Southwestern PA) with people like Steel City Stonewall Democrats

Often our chapter meeting programs include speakers who address specific GLBT issues such as repealing the federal “Don’t Ask, don’t Tell” law that regulates the US Military. Or we may offer the opportunity to sign a petition or partake in a letter writing campaign.
