A Minute with Dave

Due to the rise in Covid cases in Allegheny County, the PFLAG Board has decided to only hold virtual meetings and events
for the foreseeable future.

PFLAG Pittsburgh offers a wide array of programs to support you as you support those you love. Please reach out to us; we're here for you. The opportunities include:

Connect with other "veteran" parents or find someone to talk to. Call us at 412-833-4556.

on the second Sunday every month from 2:00pm - 4:30pm.
All are welcome to come participate at whatever level
they are comfortable. P
lease email Dave West at dwest@pflagpgh.org to be added to the list.

Support Group/Youth (via Zoom)

Occurring at the same time as our adult support groups,
youth are welcome to attend this session of support
with a member of the Persad Center staff.

Potluck Dinner (via Zoom)

Transgender youth and their families/support group are

LGBTQIA+ youth. Contact the Warmline at 412-833-4556
for more information.

Parent 2 Parent Coffee (via Zoom)

While the Parent 2 Parent Coffees are not official PFLAG Pittsburgh events, we do work in conjunction with the UPMC Gender and Sexual Development Program Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine to provide this opportunity to meet parents of transgender youth in a smaller, one-on-one environment. The coffees meet once a month via Zoom.

"We would love to welcome you to our parent-to-parent coffee!
This informal gathering allows us as parents of transgender,
gender diverse and gender questioning children to connect.
This is a parent run event, open only to parents and direct caregivers of these children. We respect each other's confidentiality and the fact that we may be in different stages of this journey. We all have felt very alone and confused at times, and have found that connecting with other parents of
gender diverse children to be a great relief."

Join us online for a Zoom get together
once a month at 7:00 pm.
