Occurring at the same time as our adult support groups,
youth are welcome to attend this session of support
with a member of the Persad Center staff.
Potluck Dinner (via ZOOM)
Transgender youth and their families/support group are
welcome to join us every month on the fourth Wednesday
A closed (safe) Facebook support group of parents of LGBTQ youth. Contact the Warmline for more information.
While the Parent 2 Parent Coffees are not official PFLAG Pittsburgh events, we do work in conjunction with the UPMC Gender and Sexual Development Program Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine to provide this opportunity to meet parents of transgender youth in a smaller, one-on-one environment. The coffees meet once a month via ZOOM.
Take a look at the Parent 2 Parent schedule on our Support page or contact the Warmline for dates, times, and locations.
"We would love to welcome you to our parent-to-parent coffee!
This informal gathering allows us as parents of transgender, gender nonconforming and gender questioning children to connect. This is a parent run event, open only to parents and direct caregivers of these children. We respect each other's confidentiality and the fact that we may be in different stages
of this journey. We all have felt very alone and confused at times, and have found that connecting with other parents of gender nonconforming children to be a great relief.
Join us online for a ZOOM get together."
