Rainbow Fund
The PFLAG PGH Rainbow Fund serves to assist individuals and organizations in their efforts to support, educate, and advocate for members of the LGBTQ community. The Rainbow Fund is not an emergency fund.
If you are in need of emergency funding, other organizations provide such assistance. One such example is SistersPGH who offers some opportunities. You can access their Rent Support Request Form here -- https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeqjE3gdII0HowfR-WApq3DP7T10Z61z2M7L3FntHrEuErISQ/viewform
Grants of up to $500 are available. All residents of Western Pennsylvania, and organizations based in Western Pennsylvania, are eligible to apply for financial support for their work from the Rainbow Fund.
Priority for funding is given to those proposals that serve the largest number of members of the LGBTQ community.
Applicants are encouraged to apply for the full amount needed for their efforts, keeping in mind funding may be offered for only a portion of that amount.
All applications are discussed and approved or denied by the PFLAG PGH Board. Therefore, applicants are encouraged to plan ahead and apply well before the actual need for the funds.
All funds in the PFLAG PGH Rainbow Fund are derived from donations made specifically for the fund. No membership dues or other sources of money are used for the fund.
